We are down to 2 months till the year ends. Less than that to be honest we are already a week into November. You see this is the time where people usually look back and think about what they’ve accomplished and how strong they want to finish the year off. I think we deserve a pass in respect of how this year went. To be honest many of us have lost at lot, from our jobs and our loved ones. One thing I urge us not to lose is faith.

Before we even begin to focus on all the loss, let us be grateful for life. Those of us who are alive and healthy let us be grateful. If you feel like you have nothing to be grateful for, take a look at the list below, and if you get to tick off even just one thing on this list just know how blessed you are. I hope this will change where your mind is at and help you focus on the good you still have left and let it spark a little bit of hope.

  1. Overall health: with the current pandemic your overall health is at the top of the list.
  2. A roof over your head: knowing that every night you have a roof over your head, and a place to sleep is something to be grateful for.
  3. Family and friends: a lot of us have lost family and friends, if you have somone around in your life cherish them.
  4. Job,income: no matter how little the money is, be grateful because there are some who have lost everything.
  5. Making it to the end of the day: what a true blessing, a chance to do better and to be better.
  6. Laughter: laughing makes you feel good and puts you in a better mood, whether you are laughing by yourself of with family and friends the presence of happiness and positivity is a great distraction.
  7. Free time: with this free time we can spend time with family, have some alone time to get in tune with ourselves, and a great time to work on our spirituality and meditation.

Sometimes it’s the little things that make a difference in life. If anything being sad will never change the situation. If we can stay positive for the rest of the year, be hopeful and take heart things will get better. Maybe not tomorrow but in time things will. For now let’s take the time for healing and restoration.
